Weekend in Pics

What a weekend!  We (and by we, I mean me) began ours by watching the royal wedding.  My sisters and I went over to my mom and dad's and we watched it together complete with mimosas and chocolates.  My dad was conveniently absent...he mumbled something about having to do yard work.  How can you do yard work when there's such a wonderful event on TV to suck up all your time?  One of my sissies even wore her wedding veil.  Sadly...I forgot my camera so no pictures...but it was so fun!

I'm embarrassed to admit that I completed my royal experience by taping the Lifetime movie "William and Kate".  I had to choose between the 20/20 special and the movie and unfortunately, I chose the latter.  It was just as painful to watch as you might imagine.

I'll spare you the details because I'm sure that you don't care, but let's just say one of the lines in the movie was "Shall we go have a spot of tea?".  Need I say more?

After that it was time to return to reality and get back to being a peasant...
...by shoveling an entire truckload of mulch into our landscaping
before...
it was getting bad-the weed barrier was showing through
after...
hmm...maybe I should actually plant something in our planter?  The after pic may have been a bit more impressive...

We went to the Brookside Art Fair...
Where we had our first taste of cheese popcorn...it was a hit
Took a family pic...
...and dined al fresco
On Sunday we relaxed...
relaxed...
relaxed!
We bought a new baby swing.  I mean, who needs a swing set?  Every time we tried to get him out of the swing to set it up, LG kinda freaked b/c he was having so much fun sitting in it...
But we showed him it's a lot more fun to swing
And what a great way to end our weekend...Osama bin Laden has met his Maker.  I can't imagine that went well for him.  We watched Sunday night as the reports came in, the president spoke and history was being made.  Thank the Lord for those Navy Seals and our military men and women that work to keep us all safe so that we Americans can enjoy our peaceful weekends and even our cheesy Lifetime movies.

Hope your weekend was full of fun!
