About Mrs. Gumshoe

Hi there!

I'm the incredibly lucky wife of Mr. Gumshoe, Andy, who happens to be my favorite criminal investigator.  Everyone has a favorite cop, right?  I'm also blessed to be a stay at home mommy to our awesome kiddos Sam and Anna.

I have on-going love affairs with organizing, cleaning, budgeting (Dave Ramsey, anyone?) and all things involving OCD to-do lists.  Does this blog sound exciting yet?  Well, don't fret because I also like to do actual fun things like cook good food, take lots of not-so-great pictures, play outside, find fun bargains, exercise, make our space a prettier place, attempt to be crafty and strive to be a more creative gal.     

I'm also the type of person that reads a birthday card, appreciates it (of course) and immediately tosses it to reduce the clutter...so the idea of capturing memories and photos does not come naturally for me.  Enter this blog!  I needed to start keeping a journal for my family and this is such a great way to do it.  It's so very 21st century!   

I pack this blog with everything you'd never want to know about our totally normal lives, mixed with some slightly self-deprecating humor.  (We laugh at ourselves...a lot).  This is just my place to share what I love and capture the memories forever...and then conveniently print it off at the end of the year!  Voila...a scrapbook my children will be embarrassed about for years to come!
